I see this all the time, and I bet you may have noticed something similar with your cerebellar hypoplasia cats: One moment they sit to scratch themselves or clean themselves, and the next thing you know, they’ve lost their balance and have rolled over.
It’s hard not to feel a tiny bit frustrated for them and want to help.
Patty noticed her Spaz often dealt with that exact problem, so she decided to find a way to help:

“Another issue that Spaz had was he had difficulty bathing himself, he would start to give himself a bath and he would roll over.
I got the idea that he needed something that he could lean up against so he could give himself a bath. He was extremely vain about is appearance; he would try to bath himself constantly.
After watching him struggle with the task and where he was when he tried to do it, leaning on the back of the couch, a chair or me, I got the idea that maybe if I fixed a small carrier, left it open for him to come and go as he pleased, maybe this would give him the support he needed to accomplish the bath task.
It worked and he loved it! I would sit and watch him give himself a bath with such vigor without falling over, appearing to be grateful for my efforts and ingenuity.”
